New navel piercing, how does it feel once healed?

I got my navel piercing less than a week ago, and am fully aware that it can take up to a year to fully heal. However, every once in a while I'll accidently hit it, like when I'm sleeping--and this will wake me up cuz it HURTS!. I was just wondering what it feels like AFTER the piercing has fully healed. Is it like your ears, where you could bump it and not really notice? Or is it going to hurt like this always? (I'm also aware that PULLING harshly will hurt... I'm not an idiot, just have this simple question).
