What would make my WMP (all versions 9, 10, and 11) become non-responsive?

I have tried and tried to figure this out....to no avail. I currently have WMP 9...it would become non-responsive after about 20 seconds; I upgraded to WMP 10, it would become non-responsive after about 20 seconds; I upgraded to WMP 11; it would become non-responsive after about 20 seconds at which time the hour gl pops up....then I have to click on the red X square at the top right corner to close it... that would bring up a "End Program WMP" window.....which I would click on and that brings up a Windows Media Player box which says "you chose to end the nonresponsive program, WMP.....this program is not responding" then it gives me a link to the data this report contains; it says click here in blue...and I get Error Signature....szAppName: wmplayer.exe, szAppVer: 9.0.0.3250 (currently); szModName: hungapp; szModVer: 0.0.0.0; offset: 00000000; plus it has a link to click on the error report and data collection policy.....and finally the "close" on. This happens ALL the time....not just now and then, but every time I open WMP, every time....can you help me fix this.....please.
