Why do people treat you as a pariah if you dont like Inception? Or ume you didnt understand it?

I love complex movies that are not easy to understand. I love intelligent dream worlds. I am a big fan of Gravity's Rainbow, etc, etc, but when I try to explain to people why Inception is just a good and "technically" well made movie, I get hostile and condescending reaction. I thought that Nolan had treated the mind as a technical landscape rather than unpredictably complex structure it actually is. I admit he keeps our attention focused on the movie with extra ordinary turn of events and dazzling action sequences, but in the end, he turns the human mind into a simple and cold technical puzzle, instead of the beautiful and complex universe it is in itself. Do you agree or disagree?
