Do you think Nasa will ever just use a astronaut as a guinea pig and try to see how long he can live on Mars?

I mean they speculate on what they think it is like,but until someone actually lands their for a month or two then we would be able to know what it is like.Maybe have them stay long enough to see what types of plant life could survive there.It's obviously a hot climate so maybe cacti or other dessert plants.
