Pilot light going out on hot water tank.?

My pilot light keeps going out on my hot water tank. it never stays on very long just as to get about a half full hot tank. light is about half blue and half yellow. it ignites the burners but for how long i am not sure. I have replaced the glow unit before when it will not light at all. not the same this time. Any help will be appreciated.
