Does any one know about Eye scars?

Hello, I went today to the hospital and i was told that i have scars on my upper eyelids, these scars are made of calcium or potium (i cnt really remeber) and these scars cause pain when blinking especially in the morning when i wake up. Also i was told that it will settle down after a while (few weeks or months) but it may come up again in the future. I was given a 'simple eye ointment' only. Does any one have an idea about wut these scars are? and how calcium or potium is related? and wut cause them? i forgot to say that the doctor said these scars are not nasty! since i tought it might be trachoma. cheers (excuse my english if u found any mistakes :)
