Sippy cup trouble help please ?

i asked this before but really didn't get answers , my son has been trying for 2 months now to use a sippy cup he is now 8 months, we tryed with and with out handles playtex and nuby the hard spouts and soft like nipple kind and straight from cup he can drink from bottle holding it him self but he wont suck from a sippy cup just bites it water will come out but he wont swallow it just goes every where it wouldn't be a problem but he is long for a 8 months old size of 1 year old so even poking extra holes in don't work too well because they rip in between and then he gets too much does ay one have any suggestions? thank you sooo much
